    On September 1st the city of Cambridge, MA experiences a mass migration--creating over 5% of the city's waste on one day. Unlike regular trash, this waste in majority is furniture that is in good condition and typically just a few years old. Within the same time frame that people are moving out, new residents, typically 1st year college students are purchasing the same items, only to be trashed a few years later. Curbed City is a way to intervene in this cycle by providing an open-source web-based platform that utilizes current behavioral patterns while allowing those who need items to acquire them easily within their current neighborhood.
