Ms. Bs Philosophy:
Romewasnotbuiltinaday.Norisanything elseinlife.Artisimaginedoneday,sketchedin anotherandachieveddayslater.Studentsare notbuiltinaday.However,agreatteachercan helpastudenttogrowjustlikeanartwork.It takesmanyhourstogettoperfection,anditis worththewait.

Classroom Procedures:
Studentswillbeexpectedtobeintheirseatfor theentireclassperiod.Theymayretrieve materialsinanorderlymannerifneeded. Studentswillreceiveaweeklysketchthatisdue everyFridayandwillbedoneinthesketchbook. Ifyoucannotgetasketchbook,onewillbe madeinclass.Thesewillbedueatleastoncea monthforgrading. Studentsmustasktoleavetheclassroomand willhaveaboys/girlspassinhandwhenleaving. Duedateswillbepostedontheboardand remindedfrequentlyinclass.

GradingScale: 90100%=A 8089%=B 7079%=C 6069%=D 059%=F Projectgradeswillbedeterminedbythecriteria, creativity,effort,timemanagement,andcraftsmanship. Eachoftheseelementswillbeworth20pointseach, makingtheentireprojectoutof100points.Criteriawillbe basedontheproject.Creativitywillbeforthinkingout sideofthebox.Effortwillbebasedoffofthestudents overallcareintheproject.Timemanagementwilldepend onifthestudentturnstheprojectinontime.Lastly, craftsmanshipwillreflectanytears,smearsoffood,etc.or carelessmarksonthefinalproject. Sketchbookgradeswillbegradedbythenotestaken inclassandsketchbookhomework.Studentswillbegiven worksheetsthataretobegluesofstapledinthenotebook, alongwithtakingnotesasaclassandsketchbook assignments.Sketchbookassignmentsmaybefromahand outorothersubjectsthestudentsisinterestedin.These needtoreflect30minutesofdevotedtime.Somemaybe doneinclass.Theseareacredit/nocreditgrade. Participationgradeswillbedeterminedbyclass participationandrespectingtheclassroomrules.

Allstudentsabsentfromschoolunderanyofthedistrictstatedreasonsareentitledtocompleteall assignmentsandtestsmissedduringtheperiodofabsence.Completionmustbewithinareasonable periodoftimeandshallbegivenfullcredit.Withartprojects,studentshaveonefullweektocomplete theprojectsontheirOWNtimeaftertheoriginalduedate.Theycanworkbeforeschool,atbreak,at lunch,andafterschoolontheirprojectsorevenasktobringsupplieshome.Afteroneweek,the assignmentwillbeconsideredlateandwillbededucted5pointsforeverydayitislate.
