Revision Tool Kit

Look at the list of revision strategies and select those which you feel would realistically assist you in your revision. Monitor your understanding by comparing your notes to published material. Make sure that your notes in writing are complete through reference to transcripts from lectures and any recommended reading. Summarise your notes by isolating key theories and information. Make summaries of your notes in diagrammatic form. Produce index cards with key facts and data in an easy to remember format. Think and make notes of connections between different topics to see how subjects interrelate. Adapt a series of data for use in a table or graph. Familiarise yourself with past papers and uestion formats. Practice identifying key elements in the uestion rubric. !onsider different approaches to the answering of a uestion and e"aluate the best option. Meet with other students to compare and discuss your understanding of different topics and to identify gaps in your knowledge. Schedule meetings with your tutor to monitor your re"ision progress.
