Grade: 2nd Lesson- Problem Solving Time: 20 minutes Materials: -The 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey -Good Choice, Bad Choice activity sheet -Stop, Think, Act, Review (S.T.A.R.) problem solving star (or something else for demonstration.) -Pictures of problems Procedure: -Review Habit #1 story from the 7 Habits book -Introduce S.T.A.R. problem solving -Give examples of conflicts and have the class practice solving conflicts with guidance -Put the class into groups and give each group a picture with a problem. Have them use stop, think, act, review to solve the problem together. -Go over Good Choice, Bad Choice activity sheet
