You have to learn how to play on the beat before you can play syncopation
in the left hand. Syncopation is what you want to strive for because it adds
a lot of color, and flair to your piano playing. This tune starts you off with
playing ON THE BEAT.

In the next lesson we will change the first two beats in the left hand bass to a syncopated pattern,
but we will keep the last two beats which are beats 3 and 4 "on the beat". It is syncopation that
really spices up your music.
