Actions Taken Carpool Duty Worked with the Trace kids to welcome and help students into the building Carpool Duty Again worked with the Trace kids to welcome and help students into the building Attitude Survey Issued a reading attitude survey and spent time meeting and getting to know the students we would be working with. Multidimensional Fluency Scale The students read a passage from a selected text as we listened and assessed their fluency level. Readers Theater We read two readers theaters today with an emphasis on reading with expression and also on punctuation. After we completed the theaters, we played a punctuation game. Readers Theater We read more readers theaters continuing on our focus on expression and used the much desired finger lights. Mo Willems Book We put their new found expression skills to the test as we had them read two Mo Willems books to us and had them read with expression. They loved the books and got in character very quickly. Final Multidimensional Fluency Scale We gave the final assessment and scored them accordingly. After the assessment we talked about new vocabulary words and helped them with a few they were unfamiliar with. Cub Club Party Today was sadly the last day with our Cub Club buddies. We celebrated a good semester of progress in reading with Christmas music, food, candy, costumes, and a lot of fun!
