Procedure: Teachers will enter wearing the national colours and singing displaying the letters for the song. Teacher will explain to the students that they will be learning and having a discussion about Anguilla our island. Teacher will pass around flashcards with images of the different symbols that represents Anguilla After distribution of symbols teacher will then ask the students to talk about what they know about the symbols that they have in their hands.

Teacher will then explain the symbols in detail for example the bird is our national bird and its correct name is Zeniada Auritha the Turtle Dove.

After the main symbols have been discussed the teacher will give the students activity sheets a. Activity 1: children will be asked to circle the national flag of Anguilla. b. Activity 2: children will be asked to place a wave under the sailing boat that represents the national sport of Anguilla. c. Activity 3: children will then colour the picture of the national bird.

Children will gather together in a semi circle to view an educational video about Anguilla

Teacher and children will then speak freely about the overall Evaluation: Children participated and enjoyed the lesson.
