Learning Plan Allie Rae Footwear Design Competency Objective:

Doran 1

To learn what goes into the development and formation of the final prototypes of the shoes designed by Jamie and produced by Allie Rae Footwear. Resources/Activities: 1. Help Jamie finalize the designs for the final prototypes (there are five different styles) 2. Learn about the patent pending heel design that Jamie has created 3. Understand the many components that go into the making of a shoe (i.e. last, leather, buckles, rivets, plastic sole, poron in heel, etc.) 4. Help organize the marketing campaign for the final products Evaluation/Verification: 1. Spent the majority of the semester (160 hours) helping to refine and perfect the shoe designs with Jamie 2. Gave a ten-minute presentation in my Internship class describing the different aspects of the shoes construction and the different parts that are needed to make the final prototypes. 3. Spent a day with Jamie in LA choosing leather, buckles, rivets and other materials that were needed to make the final prototypes of the shoes. 4. Organized a photo shoot with Wesley Parsons and foot models for future marketing campaigns

Outreach Objective:
To plan and host a investors dinner and pre-launch party to promote Allie Rae Footwear Activities/Resources: 1. Help finalize the verbiage for the online invitations with Jamie 2. Work one-on-one with Jamie to finalize menu, rental needs (i.e. tables, chairs) and presentation specifics 3. Invite close friends to attend the event so that I can have feedback on my work and involvement in the company 4. Create a LinkedIn account to begin networking with other professionals that attend the event Evaluation/Verification: 1. Created online invitations with Jamie and included them on website 2. Include pictures of the event on website 3. Include pictures of myself and some of my close friends that attended the event on the website 4. Include link to LinkedIn account on my website

Identify key interests, strengths, talents and personality traits that are beneficial contributions to Allie Rae Footwear. Resources/Activities: 1. Take the TypeFocus Assessment online 2. Take Strengths Finder online 3. Meet with Celia Howen to interpret results 4. Write a reflection on these results Evaluation/Verification: 1. Have my supervisor complete an evaluation and assessment of my work throughout the semester 2. Include TypeFocus and Strength Finder results (or links) 3. Include my reflection on my personal reaction to my TypeFocus and Strength Finder results

Skills Objective:
I will successfully coordinate a marketing campaign and finalize all the paperwork to legitimize the business. Resources/Activities: 1. I will finalize a provisional patent for the shoes designed by Allie Rae Footwear 2. I will be in charge of working on the formation of the companys kick starter campaign 3. I will complete the business license and create a bank account for the company
