Sy(tematic Sampling

As a group we decided to use Gender as our categorical variable and create a pie chart.

I was able to get my samples by first picking random method and systematic method. ur group used random.org and entered in the population amount and needing a sample of !" for random. #ith the systematic sampling we calculated that we start at number $$ and use every %%nd number to get our sample. &hen as a group we put our data into an excel sheet. I chose to use the variable gender to create my charts in stat crunch to be able to make a good comparison between the sampling methods. If you compare the charts from the random sample and systematic sample the interesting thing is the fre'uency of heights of the graph and si(e of the pie chart are the same. &here is one really big difference in the random sampling there are more females and in the systematic sampling there are more males. If we compare it to the population pie chart) you can see that the shape and fre'uency is very different. In the samples it is easily seen that there is either more males or females) the population is almost half and half. &he only difference is there is %.*+ , more males then females.

If you take a look at the box plots there shape are very similar to each other they are also very close in si(e. 1oth boxplots show that %2, of the population forced expiratory volume is between $ and %. 3ou can see similar results in the histogram. &hey are both bell shaped and very close to each other with its highest point between % and !.

art -: Statistics has been a hard class for me but it is vital for my career to learn about statics because in Anthropology I will be doing statics on cultures and activities and etc. &his particular exercise was on exhale study and I learned how to create proper samples and find the mean for the population of the study and percentage of gender. &hem I created graphs which are a great way to show people examples of fre'uency. &hen I created intervals with a 42, percent confidence and created a hypothesis testing on what I earlier calculated up to see if things come up accurately. #orking with cultures all over the road I will be creating theories and need to have data to back me up and this class has shown me how to do that.
