Violence against children Dear English 1311 students, Child abuse have become a warning signal to the different

communities that exist in the United States. It requires alarming preventive measures and effective protection from local, state, to country regardless of the race, color, religion, gender, language, or origins from the child. Children suffering from violence may experience any of the several types of abuse it may be represented by emotional abuse, neglect abuse or physical abuse. Affecting the self-steam from the child, leading him or her to have different attitudes towards the rest of the society as being aggressive, destructive, rebellious, shyness, feeling fear, anxiety, isolation, guilt, or having poor performance. Emotional abuse is generalized usually by ridiculed, insulted, berated or belittled. They are permanently subjected to witness acts of physical or verbal violence towards other family members. Neglect can be intentional as when a child is left without food as punishment, or unintentionally as when a child left alone for hours because both parents work outside home. Sexual abuse can be defined as such contacts or interactions between a child and an adult in which the child is being used for sexual gratification of the adult, against the child in which this pure innocent does not give his or her consent. Most of these crimes occur in the home setting, where the abuser is a family member or related to the children family. Nationally recognized by Childhelp Approximately 3.3 million reports of abuse are made each year. There are numerous reported cases, but it can be predicted that not every single one is reported, several causes that does not allow society to conclude the violence against children

as the lack of sufficient information to know how to detect and report cases of abuse, fear of possible legal ramifications that can bring with it the complaint or the consequences, problems with the family reported which rejects and denies the suspicion, or fear of interfering with the privacy of a family. According to UNICEF "In 1989, world leaders decided that children needed a special convention just for them because people under 18 years old often need special care and protection that adults do not. The leaders also wanted to make sure that the world recognized that children have human rights too. (UNICEF, 2013) Since they are not mentally or physically prepared to satisfy their necessities, it is an essential support for all infants to receive the care they require as human beings for a better welfare. April is National Child Abuse and Prevention Month, is a time dedicated to all those children who were or are currently involved in any type of abuse. Making society to be aware, integrate, and support our society to accomplish the goal of reducing what sadly many children are part of everyday. Playing a daily role of society, it must be considered that the first stage of socialization that the child lives in is in your household, what means that it has an important impact for their future relationship with society. In other words, if a child suffers abuse at this early stage of his life, he or she will experience irreversible consequences, which may manifest itself in different ways in his or her adult life. The abuse also violates the fundamental rights of children, and therefore, must be stopped, and the sooner the better. Abused children today will become tomorrow's adults problematic. They are who will be in charge or be part of different communities, causing

negative effects. By the reason of this, communities must promote campaigns for child abuse allegations, creating appropriate areas and developing the necessary discussion forums. Sincerily, Jennifer Urbina
