My goal is to follow Gods will for my life by helping young children get off to the right start by building the necessary foundation they will need to live a well rounded life. September 8, 2013 Mr. Tony Personett, Principal Wilbur Wright Elementary School 1950 Washington St. New Castle, IN. 47362 Dear Mr. Personett, I greatly appreciate your consideration of me to fill the position of Kindergarten teacher at your school. My past experiences, employments, and education have prepared me to enter into my career as an educator. Please review this letter along with my resume to see an overview of the qualities that I possess that can be a benefit both to the position and the school as a whole. I have been privileged to have had many experiences working with children through various ministries of Whittier Lane Baptist Church, at which I have been a member for the past eleven years. I have prepared and taught countless lessons, led childrens activities, and aided in the preparation of major events such as vacation bible school and youth camp. These experiences have helped me learn the importance of preparation and extensive planning. My past employments have been of great variety, but have helped me develop skills that are necessary in any professional environment. Specifically, I have worked at two different childcare facilities as well as at your school. Through these opportunities of working with children, I have grown to be more aware and sensitive to the many needs that children often have. I have seen the importance of being engaged while in the classroom so as to provide and exciting and nurturing environment where the children feel excited to learn. These concepts I was able to learn through my employment at various places will be a great asset to my future employments. I would not be giving credit where credit is due if I did not mention the essential role my education has played in preparing me for my career as an educator and potential candidate for your position. From assignments to class lectures to intense readings, I have gleaned so much knowledge from an extensive amount of valuable resources. I have excelled in my studies and overall academic performance. My desire to learn has never dwindled and I have determined to have a teachable spirit throughout my life. I believe this desire and attitude will only support my desire both to teach children and learn from them as well. I cannot fully express my appreciation and gratitude for you considering me as a potential addition to your wonderful staff. Sincerely, Ashley D. Swift Enclosed: Resume
