Harriet Tubman

He led a raid on the United States Armory at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. He was trying to start a slave revolt. When he ran for office, some leaders vowed to secede if he won. He won, and by the time he took office in 1861, seven states had left the Union. Nat Turner
