Merrimack Valley Leadership Series: Social Media Platforms. I acted as the MC and host for this final special event in the Merrimack Valley Leadership Series for 2012/2013. This particular event focused on practical use of social media in PR, marketing and journalism. The event featured special guests Michael Hyatt, Brian Halligan and Sally Falkow and was sponsored by The Eagle-Tribune and Merrimack College. April 2013

Projection Designer and Video Producer for Macbeth by The Genesius Project. I co-produced and co-edited about 35 minutes of video and about 30 still images that were projected on stage during the presentation of a new interpretation of an old play that was performed on stage at the Rogers Center for the Arts at Merrimack College October, 2012.

Presenter at the Interdisciplinary Studies Groups First Meeting of 2012/2013. Co-presented with Dr. Kerry Johnson. Creativity in Education: A Challenge and an Opportunity. September, 2012. Promotion of the annual Crossing Borders (Convivencia) Trip to Spain and Morocco. Helped schedule the screening of the film, Crossing Borders as well as presented to students after screening of the film. Also consulted with Lynn McGoverns intern, the Center for the Study of Jewish-Christian-Muslim Relations and the Office of International Programs to help generate enough student interest to run the program again in 2013. September, 2012 December, 2012.

Faculty Support on the annual Crossing Borders (Convivencia) Trip to Spain and Morocco with Dr. Lynn McGovern, May/June 2012. After being awarded
$3000 through the Provosts Innovation Fund, I attended numerous planning meetings with Dr. McGovern and the students in the spring 2012 semester. I then went on the trip and supported Dr. McGovern and the students as needed with logistics and educational planning and implementation. I also developed an online travel blog (http://crossingbordersmerrimack.blogspot.com/) and produced, filmed and edited a promotional video about the trip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfXsZFaGeQY&feature=youtu.be).

Contributor to the audio tour associated with Backstage Pass: Rock & Roll Photography Exhibit at the Currier Museum of Art. Recorded a 90-second audio segment about the cultural significance of one of the photographs on view in the Backstage Pass Exhibit, wherein attendees can hear my comments by dialing the appropriate phone number on their cell phones while viewing the exhibit. The exhibit was on view from October 7, 2011 to January 15, 2012.

Projection Designer and Interviewer for The 9/11 Effect: A New Play by The Genesius Project. The play was performed on stage at the Rogers Center for the Arts at Merrimack College on September 9 and 10, 2011.
o Compiled, edited and designed the visual backdrop projected on stage during the performance of The 9/11 Effect. These contributions included producing and editing a brief video and compiling and organizing more than 100 still images. o Conducted numerous interviews of Merrimack College community members, which were used as the raw material for the dialogue in the plays script. o I was personally interviewed for the script and appeared as a character in the play. The character was modeled after my experiences on 9/11/01.

Faculty Mentor for a Senior Honors Capstone Project (fall 2013, spring 2014) I served as the faculty mentor for Bridget Gilroys Honors Capstone Project that focused on advertising, marketing and fundraising for Relay for Life, an oncampus fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Collaboration with Lazarus House Ministries (fall 2013, spring 2014) I collaborated with Kathie Clark, PR and Communications Associate at Lazarus House, on a number of projects that gave Merrimack College Communication majors numerous opportunities for experiential learning. In fall 2013, my Visual Communication students worked on designing posters for the Christmas-focused Project Bethlehem project. Also in fall 2013, my Advertising and Design Work Study student worked on improving Lazarus Houses Social Media Outreach Program. In spring 2014, my Intercultural Communication students will work on a promotional video featuring various aspects of the organizations ministries. Feast of Faiths Program (spring 2013) - I prepared written materials and agenda items for a dinner sponsored by the Center for the Study of JewishChristian-Muslim Relations. February 2013. Communication Arts and Sciences Retreat (spring 2013) Prepared materials, including an environmental scan of aspirational Communication programs at comparable schools for the Communication Arts and Sciences first annual retreat in January, 2013. Collaboration with Esperanza Academy (spring 2012, spring 2011) I collaborated with Caitlin Bixby (Mathematics Teacher), Sandi Pilt (Principle) and Christopher Wilson (Head of School) in two semesters, both of which gave Merrimack College Communication majors opportunities for experiential learning. In spring 2012, my Intercultural Communication students worked with the Esperanza middle school-aged students to develop their public communication skills, which allowed my students to develop their intercultural communication competencies. In spring 2011, my Intercultural Communication students worked with the students of Esperanza Academy on a general outreach and communication project focused on relationship building and intercultural exposure and learning by doing.

Delegate at Emerson Colleges Presidential Inauguration (fall 2012). Attended Emerson Colleges Inauguration of their new President, Dr. M. Lee Pelton at the Cutler Majestic Theatre, Boston. Marched as Merrimack College delegate in the academic procession and attended the reception that followed, September, 2012. Information Session for Communication Majors (fall 2012) Helped plan and organize the Information Session with Dr. Deborah Burns and Lisa Michel. Oversaw the design and distribution of the promotional poster created for the event by my Advanced Mass Communication student. Heroes and Worship: Student Program Prior to Goldziher Prize Event (fall 2012). Consulted on the student program designed to connect students with world-renown leaders in interfaith encounters, conflict resolution, and peace making. The dinner is sponsored by the Center for the Study of Jewish-ChristianMuslim Relations. Also acted as discussion facilitator at the dinner and recruited eight Mass Communication students to talk and eat with filmmaker Jacob Bender (documentary film: Out of Cordoba). Committee for Liberal Arts Signature Programs (CLASP, spring, summer, fall 2012). Continued work on what was originally called the Liberal Arts Summer Working Group. Working on developing innovative signature programs for the School of Liberal Arts in relation to the Agenda for Distinction. Specifically, I am working on developing the Creativity, Values and Innovation (CVI) undergraduate program and also the Public Affairs Masters Program with a number of other faculty members. For example, we are conducting environmental scans, developing learning goals and outcomes as well as developing course sequences/requirements, and the programs basic structures. Projection Designer for: Liberal Studies Core Curriculum Requirements: The Five Stages of Grief (summer 2012) Developed the images projected on screen as Dr. Kathleen Sills and the Merrimack College OnStagers performed a humorous and informative presentation about the new Liberal Studies Core Curriculum Requirements during the summer Orientation program, June 2012.
