Photo Stacking in Photoshop CS 3 and above

Photo Stacking is an advanced feature in Photoshop CS3 Extended and above. It needs a number of photos shot in sequence, which can be a igned and b ended into a better image. I wi show !ou how to do it. I wi a so so !ou how to use the Patch "oo .

Step # $ %o to &i e'Scripts'(oad &i es into Stack.

Step ) $ I wi open the five photos in Photoshop in the top row.

Step 3 $ "he (oad (a!ers dia ogue box opens. C ick the *rowse button and oad the a!ers. C ick +,.

Step - $ Photoshop opens the (a!ers one b! one. .ou wi find them in the (a!ers Pa ette.

Step / $ Since the top a!er is high ighted, press Shift and c ick on the owest one. "his se ects a the a!ers.

Step 0 $ %o to Edit'1uto21 ign (a!ers

Step 3 $ "he 1uto21 ign dia ogue box opens. *! defau t it is set to 1uto. (eave it at that. C ick +,. 1 the a!ers wi be a igned.

"he (a!ers have been a igned, but !ou wi not notice much difference.

Step 4 $ %o to Edit'1uto2* end (a!ers.

Step 5 $ "he 1uto2* end (a!ers dia ogue box opens. *! defau t it wi be set to Stack Images. C ick +,.

.ou wi notice the Progress bar b ending the images.

Step #6 $ "he photos have been b ended.

(ook in the a!ers pa ette, !ou can see how Photoshop has automatica ! b ended a the images.

Step ## $ I see there are some imperfections when I 7oom in. "here are some spots that need to be c eared up.

Step #) $ Press C"8(9E to compress a the a!ers into one.

Step #3 $ C ick the Patch "oo from the f ! out. .ou can see from where it can be accessed.

Step #- $ :ith the Patch "oo draw around the portions that !ou want to remove.

Step #/ $ P ace the cursor in the midd e and drag up ti the spots disappear.

Step #3 $ C ick the Crop "oo .

Crop out unwanted areas if necessar!.
