Review (220 -260 words) Liberal Arts by Josh Radnor Josh Radnor is something more that Ted Mosby

in How I met your mother, one of the best know American sitcoms of the decade. Because Liberal Arts will be his second feature film. Stronger and more mature than his debut as a director in Happythankyoumoreplease. This time, Radnor performs Jesse, a 35-years-old writer who has the possibility to come back to the university in Ohio where he used to study. Thats because he receives an invitation to a retirement party for Peter (Richard Jenkins), one of his favorite teachers. At the celebration he introduces Jesse to Zibby (Elizabeth Olsen), a 19-years-old girl who is studying there. They hit it off immediately. As you can see, the plot is not very complex. The real essence of the film is the manner in which the characters are going to evolve when they meet their self, focusing in the relationship between Jesse and Zibby. Little by little they show us their feelings and their point of view about the life under three completely different perspectives: A retired teacher whose half life has passed, a thirty something writer who realized that he has become an adult and a young student who has a lot to learn about the love. We are faced with an unconventional romantic film without a cheesy happy ending. If you are looking for a deeply emotional film like the acclaimed 500 Days of Summer and you are tired of Hollywood special effects, then you are maybe the perfect viewer.
