The purpose of this event is to receive input from people with
Alzheimer’s and their family members, as the Task Force prepares to submit a plan and recommendations to the State Legislature concerning the current and future impact of Alzheimer’s disease.
It is crucial for the people of Greater New Orleans to identify the
services and programs needed in the community to best care for people with Alzheimer’s.
Alzheimer’s has risen 14% in Louisiana; the demands of the disease
are expensive and, oftentimes, overwhelming. Written comments can be submitted to the Alzheimer’s Association office at 2605 River Road, New Orleans, Louisiana 70121, through August 13, 2009.
