Homework now seems to be a pivotal part in most classes.

However there is still a heated debate over whether students are compelled to complete assignments. Personally, I believe that daily assignments are required for the sake of the students. Firstly, homework is a key factor to lesson revision and skill reinforcement. I believe you would agree with me that only a tiny minority of the population could memorize things at the very first time they learn while the rest, however, need regular revision. It seems that most useful way to do this is through homework which enables students to remember the content points and even deepen their knowledge. In my opinion, this way is actually some what better for allows student to retain the lessons than learning by heart. Furthermore, as a saying goes n ounce of action is worth a theory , study does consist of not only acquiring the knowledge conveyed in class but also sharpening their skills. !his can be done by applying what they have learned into practice or in other words, doing their e"ercises. nother important reason I need to mention is that school assigned tasks enable teachers to evaluate students levels. #ou know, as the time in class is limited, teachers can only cover the main points or $ust spend little time testing their students. %onsequently, assignments can help to assess students degree of understanding and therefore, customize their approach. In addition, since there are students who do not often display their ability in class, marking of their homework appears to be one of the best ways to discover their strengths as well as detect their weaknesses, !herefore, more suitable instruction could be given. &pponents of daily homework claim that heavy workload may put high pressure on students and deprive them of time spent with their families or on rela"ation. !his is undeniably true to some e"tent. 'evertheless, that homework is assigned by teachers who are proficient and well(trained ensures a sufficient workload for students to strengthen their skills without e"erting any considerable pressure on them. In a nutshell, I reaffirm my position that it is necessary for students to be assigned homework everyday. I think

students should do their homework seriously to take best advantage of this
