Hi, my name is Jose Pablo; Im studying Automotive Design Engineering at Tec de Monterrey.

This career aims to analyze, design and evaluate the systems and car components. It takes care from the building of the car until the recycling of those materials used to build the automobile. This engineering supports on the virtual modeling, it is assisted by computers and experimental analyses, besides it integrates the new technologies in different areas such as mechatronics, chemistry and mechanical power sources in order to adapt them into electric and hybrid vehicles. An engineer of this area will be accepted on areas such as Designing and engineering centers of automotive parts, Centers of researching and investigation of automobile industry, Labs and testing centers, Assembly Enterprises and the creation of their own Enterprise focused on the development of automotive systems and components. I choose this career because since I remember I always liked cars. Ive worked earlier in a service workshop of cars, and I felt amused about how everything on the car works together and the precision that it requires to work well. I feel also really interested on constructing my own workshop enterprise, its really simple once is built, because the only thing it requires is to be updated on the new specifications of some cars, have the material to work and it obviously requires knowledge about cars. It is a 4 and a half career that includes some topics such as physics, chemistry, electricity, computerized design, dynamics, electronics, engines, heat transference, vehicle dynamics and others additional topics. The knowledge areas are based on the innovation of mechanical systems, development of energetic systems, mathematics, and modern tools of automotive mechanics, manufacturing processes, and some other additional areas. Finally, a person with the profile of Automotive Designing Engineer is qualified to build and design cars, check every process of the automobile manufacturing, managing a car lot, research information on investigation centers or development centers of technology, to do personally the car service and so other skills that implicate design and aesthetic characteristics but also engine, chassis and other matters.
