The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success Deepak Chopra

1 The Law of Pure Potentiality This is about knowing who you are. Understanding your self and true nature its about being internally referenced rather than externally referenced, ie not seeking approval from others. By being self-referred we are:

Immune to criticism Un-fearful of change Beneath no-one yet humble and not superior

If we are object-referred we are:

Constantly seeking approval Seeking control Wearing a social mask

Self-power is true power and will draw others towards us. Ego-based power is a false power which is based on job titles, possessions and money.

2 The Law of Giving Giving comes hand in hand with receiving. This is about the flow of energy need to give willingly to create mutual happiness. We are all inherently affluent as giving does not mean money. Think about giving what you would like to receive, eg joy, love, appreciation, respect. The giving needs to unconditional joyful and an act from the heart. The easiest way to get what you want is to help others to get what they want. Gifts are very simple attention, affection, appreciation and silent wish of happiness or joy. The more you give the more you will receive.

3 The Law of Cause and Effect This is linked to the principle that you reap what you sow. Its about conscious decision making and how we react to things. What we do presently is directly related to whats happened in the past our unconscious decisions. This is programmed into us think Pavlovs dogs experiment. Its important to be conscious about the decisions that we make rather than just reacting in the way that we have always done so. Listen to your heart often your spontaneous right decisions are the ones made by your heart what does it feel? We can pay past debts by learning lessons: i) What can I learn from this ii) What message am I getting iii) How can I make this useful to others? Be a conscious choice maker. 4 The Law of Least Effort This is the principle of do less and achieve more its where miracles come from. Need to be in tune with self to enable this to happen. Important to be motivated by love (of yourself) and not by power and control (ego). Less effort is expended when something is done out of love above power and control. Free up energy by stopping to maintain an illusion of importance and grandeur.

The past is history. The future is mystery. This moment is a gift, that is why its called the present
Three components to this Law: Acceptance: of people, circumstances and events of your feelings that its no ones fault to transform the situation to something useful to use situations as lessons

Defencelessness:

stop defending your view be flexible stop fighting

This is the path of no resistance. When your season is right your desires will manifest 5 The Law of Intention and Desire Keep your attention on the present and your intent for the future will happen. The future is created in the present. You must accept the present as it is dont struggle against it. Relinquish attachment to the intention this means you:

maintain an unshakeable serenity while being committed to your goal with intense passion
Trust that when you release your desires and any attachment to outcomes, the universe will orchestrate their success. Stay in the present accept it as it is, refusing to allow obstacles to dissipate the quality of your attention to the present moment. 6 The Law of Detachment Detachment is based on an unquestioning belief in the power of your true self. Important to retain a sense of desire and intention give up attachment. Attachment = fear and insecurity. The search for security is an illusion we attach ourselves to the known this is a prison of past conditioning. Uncertainty = fertile ground of pure creativity and freedom. In uncertainty you will find

the freedom to create anything you want

Have a goal and be flexible in how you achieve it be alert to opportunities when you are prepared and meet an opportunity, there will form a solution. 7 The Law of Purpose in Life Three parts to the law of purpose .. 1. To find our true self 2. To express our unique talents 3. To serve fellow human beings Think how can I help rather than whats in it for me.
