Polished Group Improvisation Area of Interaction Context Human Ingenuity

Summative Task Descriptor


In groups of 4-5 you are to create a polished improvisation based on one of the given titles. Your scene must go for 2-3 minutes, with the use of split action dialogue and everyone in the group must take on a clear character with a speaking role: showing a characters walk and voice. Try to use your inner dialogue to further guide your actions and facial expressions. Some other performance techniques you might like to consider using: elements of mime and physical theatre, tableaux, a Malcom in the Middle moment and status.

Eden Grace you did a fantastic job! I loved your shoe sales girl character. You did a great job of creating and performing a frantic, highly strung, well meaning, eager to please character. A great choice of character to create as she was distinctly the opposite to the laid back sales assistant portrayed on the other side of the stage via the split action dialogue method. You were very audience aware, focussed and kept your Irish accent up for the entire polished improvisation I was very impressed.
