Things to Do When Opening If water in house is on, disregard steps 1-3. 1.

Turn on water at the meter located near the road, directly in front of the house. "T" to turn on water is located in the garage near door. Use the "T" to pry open the entire water meter box cover by sticking it in the hole and lifting entire cover. Valve is under the cover with the label "383" on it. When turning on water, you must first make sure the round valve that drains the entire house is closed. It has a round knob with a hose connected to it. Now you can turn on water in box. 2(A). Immediately, go back to house and open valve to water heater. Valve is located near water heater in basement utility room. Valve is marked on wall with an arrow above water heater. Turn valve to open. 2(B). Next, turn on electiralc power (circuit breaker) to water heater in electrical box in basement utility room. Switch is clearly marked in box. Flip switch to turn on. 3. Water faucet may still be on in upstairs bath and downstairs bath. Make sure no water is running from previous draining of lines, when last guest left. 4. Turn ice machine on, located to left of kitchen sink. Make sure and put cap on, located in cabinet above. Look into ice maker and you will see where cap screws on under reservoir. 5. If fireplace is to be used make sure to open damper in chimney. Please do not use downstairs fireplace at all. Damper is closed and insulated to prevent cold air from entering. 6. Open blinds in all rooms. 7. No pets or smoking inside cabin. 8. See heat and air instructions on page 2 to set thermostat. (Set thermostat to desired temperature and push hold) 9. Call Cleaning Service (706-746-0040) to schedule cleaning.

Things to do When Leaving 1(A). If using cleaning service, leave used beds unmade. Put used towels in shower, tub or on washing machine in laundry room. Leave note to cleaning service if they are to cut off water to home after cleaning. 1(B). If not using cleaning service, change sheets on beds. Each bedroom has another set of sheets located in respective closet. Wash sheets and towels. Return sheets and towels to bedroom closet or bath. Clean bathroom sinks, toilets and showers. Sweep, mop or vacuum floors. 2. Make sure all dishes are clean and put away and dishwasher has been run full cycle and emptied. 3. Make sure garbage disposal has been run. 4. Clean fireplace. Coals and ashes may be placed in coal bucket located on hearth of downstairs fireplace. If there are still hot coals in bucket do not leave in house or outside. Take them to bottom of mountain and pour directly in lake. Close damper in chimney. 5. Empty all garbage and take all bagged garbage to dumpster located at bottom of mountain to the left of 1st lake you come to at bottom. Recycle center located in Rabun Gap on Kelly Creek Road. 6. Make sure no coffee grounds are left in coffee maker and it is unplugged. 7. Make sure oven and stove are turned off. 8. Set thermostat to 55 degrees in winter and 80 degrees in summer. 9. Close all blinds to house except the two behind bedside tables in master bedroom. Also close blinds to all doors on main floor and downstairs. 10. Turn off icemaker located to left of sink in kitchen. TAKE CAP OFF AND PLACE IN CABINET. If using cleaning service, you can leave a note to Turn off water after cleaning and disregard steps 11, 12 & 13. 11(A). Turn off electical power (circuit breaker) to water heater in electrical box in basement utility room. Switch is clearly marked. 11(B). Turn off water going to water heater. Valve is located near water heater in basement utility room also. Valve is marked on wall with an arrow above water heater. Turn valve to close. 12. Get "T" from garage, located near door and go to street and turn off water in box. Use "T" to open complete box cover to access valve. Turn off water to house using "T" to close valve. After closing valve, (in winter months) open round valve to drain house. You will see water begin to drain out hose to your left. 13. Next, go to 3rd floor and open faucet in sink to help drain water lines in house. Then go to basement floor and open faucet in sink in bath. Both these open help to drain lines in the house. When

water stops dripping from faucet in sink in basement you can then turn of both faucets, upstairs and down. 14. Make sure all doors (2 downstairs and 3 on main floor) are locked by dead bolt. Also make sure garage door is locked. 15. Remove all perishable food from refrigerator and cabinets. 16. Hope you enjoyed your stay!!!

Heating and Air Instructions Zone 1: Push program Next day Monday and zone 1 Start programming - set time/temp to move to cool and heat Program again to change time periods - there are 4 periods per day, set all to same degrees Next day to Tuesday Then copy day Next day etc. copy day until Sunday is copied - this will copy zone 1 to each day Zone 2: Next zone to Zone 2 Then press All Zone and Mode at same time to copy zone Zone 3: Next zone to Zone 3 Then press All Zone and Mode at same time to copy zone House has 3 heat/air zones. Don't need to set Zone 2 or Zone 3 if you will not be using upstairs or downstairs.
