Money (dollars / gold) is the axis around which the entire world revolves. Bharthruhari of 15th century before Christ, wrote a sloka and aptly described the role money plays in human life. Yaasyaasthi vittam sa-naraha kuleenaha, sa-pandithasya,

sruthavaan, gunajnaha; sa-eva vaktaa, sacha darsaneeyaha, sarve-gunaaha kaanchanm-ashrayanthi = Money (Gold) can make many things; it makes a lowborn person as if of noble-birth; a mud-head as if an all-knowing scholar; a layman as if a highly learned genius; a man with bad qualities as if a man with all virtues; a dumb person as if an effective orator, an ugly person as if very handsome ; thus money can make anything and everything. Human beings need money to satisfy their desires and to enjoy comforts in life. Even Sanyasis need more money for living and propagation of their ideas. So Financial prosperity is a very important aspect to be examined in any horoscope by astrologers. 98% of people consult me and other astrologers mainly to know of their financial progress and ask remedies to mitigate malefic effects to improve their financial prosperity. Good financial prosperity can cause insatiable greed, anger, pride, lust, etc, in millions of persons with mean qualities (political goondaas); it can cause positive personality traits like kindness, honesty, sincerity, benevolence, contentment, etc. in noble-minded persons; who give charities and donations for noble purposes like orphanages, free-hospitals, anna-daana (food-distribution) to poor and needy and relief funds to sufferers due to natural calamities like floods, hurricanes & earth-quakes: examples of such benevolent persons: saint H.H. Sri Satya Saibabha of Puttaparthi, and Bill Gates.

Part2 Thousands of persons with intelligence, good educational qualifications, capacity for
hard-work and blessed with luck migrate to countries like USA , Dubai to earn good money and improve their life-standards and family conditions; they are prepared to leave even their mother-

land and parents and close-relatives. This proves the highest priority people give to earn money. While analyzing a horoscope, the astrologer assesses the financial prosperity of the native based on these main aspects. (1) Moon and Jupiter are signficators (kaarkas) for financial prosperity; Venus bestows luxuries in life; strong and well-disposed Moon and Jupiter and Venus give riches. (2) the beneficial nature of lords of those houses, which contain moolatikona signs of various planets. (3) the houses which rule financial prosperity, that is, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th houses, when they contain moola-trikona sign. (4) the strength of the lords of the houses 2, 5, 9, 10 and 11. (5) the beneficial or malefic nature of planets that occupy the houses 2, 5, 9, 10 and 11 which decide the prosperity of the native. (6) the drushtis (aspecting) by benefics or malefics on these houses. (6) the conditions like utcha (exalted), own house, neecha (debilitated), dagdha (combusted), associations (good or bad) of planets in those houses.

Part3 Now we summarise the indicators of financial gains in horoscopes, the reasons for
financial strains, and mention astral remedies for augmenting financial gains. The sources of financial prosperity depend not only on the significators of wealth, but also on the operating periods (Vimsaothari dasas and antar-dasas) of the lords of the houses which contain moola-trikona signs; the financial gains can be through inheritance, business, job / service, investments or even through plundering (in case of politicians-goondas). The strong and welldisposed planets during their strong and beneficial transit bestow very good financial prosperity during the course of their operating periods. Now I expalin this point with the help of an illustrious horoscope.

This is benefical but in Nava amsa Saturn is in Aries and is debiliated. So the yoga is spoiled. (2) Venus is the lord of Labha (11th house) and he is in Vyaya (12th hpuse); so benefits due to Sukra are spoiled. (3) Jupiter is lord of birth lagna and he is in 10th house (Rajya) is a raja-yoga and he enjoys riches and prosperity. Jupiter is lord of 2 kendra (quadrants) 1 and 4th houses; he has ubhaya-kendra-adhipathaty (lord of 2 kendras) dosham. Also Jupiter is debilitated in nava amsa in Capricorn is malefic. (4) Mars is the lord of 5th house and is positioned in 9th house (house of Bhagyam, luck and prosperity) (5)

Mercury is lord of 7th and 10th houses; so he has ubhaya-kendra-adhipathya dosha. Also he is in Vyaya (12th house).

Part4 Bhava Chart is more accurate and gives better predictions, because the birth lagna is
taken as reference standard and the relative positions of the nine planets are examined. (1) Jupiter is in 9th (Bhagya) house and he is the lord of lagnam. Also Sun the lord of Leo is in lagnam and is a friend to Jupiter. This highly beneficial aspect lifted him to meterioc hights of riches and prosperity and made him a multi-billionaire during the main period of Jupiter (19801996). (2) Sukra (Venus) dasa ( from Dec-1932 to June-1939); Ravi (Sun) dasa (from June-1939 to June-1945); Chandra (Moon) dasa (period) (from June-1945 to 1955) were most ordinary periods and did not give him much benefits. Mars period (Dec-1955 to Dec-1962) began to lift him in life and paved path to his prosperity, success and glory. Mars is lord of 5th (Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana) house and is in 9th house (Bhagyam) and is conjunct with Jupiter (lord of birth lagnam) = Atha Bhagya-sthaane, lagna-panchama adhipo vaa lagna-bhagya adhipo vaa lagna-karma adhipo subha-samanvithe, vishesha dhana-laabha mudeerayeth. This beneficial conjunction in a highly benefical house made him a world-famous business tycoon and highly rich and successful in business. (3) Rahu (1962-1988) was favourable to him but he suffered many hindrances and enemies in his endevours; he fortunately overcome all those obstacles and reached th pinnacles of glory, success and prosperity. Saturn is debilitated in nava-amsa, but a malefic planet in debilitatin gives beneficial results. (6) But Saturn is lord of 2nd house (Maaraka (death-causing)sthana) and is in Maaraka-sthana. Part5 It is to be noted, when the significator of wealth (dhana-kaarka) acts as a functional

malefic and also forms conjunction / aspect of other malefic planets or the most effective points of any beneficial house, or in malefic houses, viz. 6th, 8th. or 12th , that dhana-kaaraka planet will be detrimental to financial prosperity. The person may suffer irreparable losses during its

operating period. Some multi-millionaire business people go bankrupt and are reduced to poverty due to such malefic effects.

Example: 2 If the lord of the birth-lagna is strong and well disposed bestows good financial
prosperity to the person through his / her initiative and drive. (1) Sun and or Moon indicate the person to occupy an top-executive post with State or Central government or in any MNC and earn millions. Mercury and Sun are conjunct in Leo (Laabham-11th house), forming very strong Budha-Aditya raja-yoga (Dhana-yoga). Rahu is in moola-trikona in Leo and is in Laabham (11th house): Ketu is in Moola-trikona in Aquarius and is in 5th house (konam; Sri Mahalakshmi sthana) and are very beneficial, So this person shall be a great business magnet and shall earn millions of rupees. (3) Mars and or Saturn can cause financial gains through manufacturing industries or production units. (4) Jupiter bestows prosperity to a person as professional consultant / advisor in the fields of law, engineering, architecture, practice of law or Chartered Accountancy or Tax-consultancy. Part6 Whenever I refer to the lords of various houses being strong and well-disposed it
means any of the houses except the malefic houses, namely, the sixth, eighth and twelfth houses. The lord of the second house containing a moolatrikona sign can give financial gains through status, investments and family wealth. In the Bhava / Rasi chart of Sri Dhirubhai Ambani, the lord of dhana-sthana, 2nd house (Capricorn) is Saturn and he is posited in his own house Capricorn. This bestowed him riches worth billions through investments. Similarly, the lord of the third house bestows financial gains through the fields of communications, publications and or through entrepreneurial activities. In case of Sri Dhirubhai Ambanis chart, the lord of 3rd house (Aquarius) is Saturn and he is in 2nd house (Dhana), his own house. So he gained billions of prosperity through entrepreneurial activities (Reliance group of Industries). The lord of 4th house in a moola-trikona sign causes gains through business in items of luxury, property-deals / real-estate and vehicles, hotel management and running educational institutions. The lord of 5th house in a moola-trikona position can bestow financial prosperity through running tuition centers, music and dance schools, training centers like computers, development of organizations like events-management, research organizations, like new drug-development amd testing laboratories.

Part7 If the lord of 6th house is not afflicted by any malefic planets and effects may give
gains by legal, medical and financial professions. The lord of 7th house in moola-trikona can make the person flourish in partnership business, trade of luxury items and cosmetics, and import & export business of beauty products. f the lord of 8th house is not afflicated by any malefic planets or influences and if he is strong and well disposed, the person gains money through inheritance, lotteries or such chance-winning games. The lord of 9th house (Bhagyam = luck and prosperity) is in moola-trikona, the native inherits huge wealth from paternal earnings, power and high status. Running religious / spiritual organizations may yield rich returns to the person. Import-export business also gives high returns.

The lord of the tenth house, if strong and well-disposed and 10th house has benefics, they cause executive status with the state or MNC business.

Part8 The lord of the eleventh house yields gains through elders in the family or brothers,

The strong and well-disposed lord of the twelfth house without any malefic influences can give financial gains in foreign countries and through the business of luxury goods.

Lakshmi-sthaanam thrikonancha; Vishnu-sthaanancha kendraaha. thayo sambandha mathrena , Raja-yoga adhikam, bhaveth ! = 1,5,9 houses from birth lagnam (ascendant) are called trikonams (tridents); 1,4,7,10 houses from birth lagam are called kendrams (quadrants); if the lords of trikonam and kendram are conjunct in same beneficial house, the person is blessed with Raja-yogam; if these lords exchange their places also in good houses, they give many benefits, the person gets longevity, health, wealth, happiness, name and fame. He has a Ph.D, in Electronics and is a business owner and MD of a 75 million dollar company in U.S.A. If the Kaarka (significator) planets are weak, or afflicted, even if they take the person to the business/profession/service indicated by these planets, or the significations of a particular house, the benefits will be poor and will cause financial strains to the person.
