through the issue of waste and possible solutions Culminates in a rich task engaging with the community through an art exhibition of junk sculpture Blogs document process and create interactions with community, peers and parents Based on e5 inquiry model Approximately 1 term / 10 weeks Literacy unit based around parables / fables and persuasive texts. Includes ethical explorations and scaffolded debate around ideas of morality, authority, heroism and social change Integration of Visual and Performing Arts activities 3 weeks of 2 hour Literacy Blocks, plus homework
