(Skyline Hotels and Resorts) Date Dear Deerhurst Resort, My name is Cassidy Peplinskie, I am a Student Massage Therapist applying for a Massage Therapist position as advertised to obtain successful and rewarding employment, and to be able to continue my education and development in the profession of massage therapy. As a Student Massage Therapist, I believe in ethical, empathetic, and compassionate care that serves the patient and the massage therapy profession in the most effective way. I endeavour to treat to the fullest extent of my ability, to take on the responsibility of the publics health, and to establish a respectful therapeutic relationship with each of my patients. I believe that employment at your establishment would deliver enrichment and experience to aid in my growth and expansion of my knowledge, as well as grant me with a career that I will love being a part of. As you can see from my resum, my previous experience and education have given me the skills and knowledge to be successful in this position. As a supervisor for a local business I have developed organizational skills as well as having proved myself trustworthy in the handling of money and tender, and upkeep of a personal space. I have also been able to successfully problem-solve with regards to both customers and other employees. In addition, I have a great desire to continually learn and grow. Having chosen to continue on in post-secondary education in the massage therapy profession I have grown in regards to my own sense of independence and I have learned to take responsibility of my actions and to ensure I complete required tasks promptly and on time as well as learning to be highly selfmotivated. This growth has made me an efficient worker and an even more functional individual. My program and classes also require that I be an active and successful team member and has allowed me to develop communication and collaborative skills. I believe these skills will help me to be a valuable employee in many areas and tasks. Having completed almost half of my program, I am becoming very adept and successful in treatment of many conditions, such as trigger point release, neuromuscular conditions, fascial restrictions and joint hypo mobility, as well as creating effective treatment plans for my patients, complete with follow-up and documentation.
