CONCLUSION In this review we have discussed numerous studies for the therapeutic potential of the Coriandrum sativum.

Various parts of coriander plant such as seed, leaves, flower and fruit, possess diuretic, antioxidant activity, antidiabetic, anti-convulsant activity, sedative hypnotic activity, anti-microbial activity, anti mutagenic and anthelmintic activity. More research is required to investigate the unexplored and unexploited potential of this plant. Further there is need to isolate, characterize and screen the active principles from the different parts of Coriandrum sativum responsible for its pharmacological activity.
