Design Brief:

I am going to design and create a logo in the program GMP. The project is based on choosing a logo from a company and improve it. I took Nasas logo as my choice because I think I could make people understand what is this company about just looking at the logo I am going to create. The goal of this project is to make us learn how the logos affect our life, how a simple picture means a big thing such as a company. To understand my purpose first there is a description of Nasas company. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the agency organized in the United States government that develops a professional space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research. This agency was established by 1958. The basic goal is focused on better understanding of the Earth. First of all, I am going to change the background of the old logo, replacing it for a realistic space symbolizing that Nasa deals with it. In terms of color I will keep them to have a reference of the old logo because I think that the colors define it really well. The tittle is going to be placed as each letter in one star, to make it more complex and elaborated. In the right side the whole name of Nasa is going to be showed to make it more professional National Aeronautics and Space Administration The most important symbol that I am going to use is the Earth to show the actual goal that the company follows, mentioned before. The sources I used for this project are basically the competitors of this company such as EADS, Planetary Resources, NSG and Bae Systems. I refered to them and they gave me ideas such as putting the whole name of the company under the tittle as: NSG (NewSpace Global)

Design Specification:
1. The size of the logo is going to be 1000x1000and it will not have any background. This is the perfect size because is not too big or too small. 2. The logo must represent the companys goal which is the better understanding of the Earth having it as the principal symbol of my logo. 3. Color. The color for the logo will have to be the same as the old one to have a reference and it actually shows and symbolizes the space race. The colors are blue, red and white. Red means the warm which is the nickname of the company, blue indicates the sky and space and white is related to the space and technology. 4. The shapes of the logo are going to be a sphere representing the planet, the stars representing space. 5. The whole name of the company is going to be showed National Aeronautics and Space Administration to indicate professionalism. 6. Symbols. In my logo the earth is going to appear as the global symbol and also stars to refer of space.
