Topic: Some people feel that media like the press, television, and the Internet should be more

strictly controlled. Others believe that, if anything, the controls should be loosened to give people freer access to information. Where do you stand on this issue? The media undeniably owns bigger power than any other things. A strict or a loose control of the press, television and the Internet is not only a public concern but also one of the governments main issues. In my opinion, the media being put under strict control should be supported for the following reasons. For one thing, without censorship, it is likely that false information will be published widespread and this therefore will cause substantial troubles to the government. When some untrue news appears ubiquitously on newspapers, especially intentionally, it may provoke arguments even fights between social groups of people. In particular, if the information is about foreign affairs, it may crate or exacerbate the conflicts between the people of different nations, which may even be the cause of wars. The similar pattern is applied to the news spread out with the intention of disparaging the government and its citizens. The dissemination of the news stands every chance to bring people misunderstanding of their authority, giving rise to a number of strikes. Another equally important reason that should be taken into consideration is that the loose control of information can lead to peoples falling trust on the media. As a result of the lack of strict management of information, there is likelihood that readers and viewers are under impression that they cannot place their belief on journalists. This can be regarded as the certain reaction to the ubiquity of all kind of news on the media. However, it cannot be denied that this results in people confusing as to when and at what level they should believe in what is written and broadcast out there. Another consequence is that media lose its prevalence and power on its readers and viewers.
