Roadrunner of the Week!

Beep! Beep! Lisa Dokken Patterson! As fifth graders prepare for an awesome week at Outdoor Ed, I have noticed their teachers making sure everything is ready. Bea, Holly, Deborah, Courtney, and Lisa have been working hard. Lisa needs an extra round of applause for doing everything possible to allow her students to participate in this experience. Lisa held a parent meeting to address their concerns. She held an emergency meeting to add additional information to an existing IEP. She also went out of her way to ensure we had enough para support at outdoor ed. Thank you Lisa! I know your students appreciate all of your efforts.

One on One Meeting with Anthony

Safety Tip

PD Plans and Cycles of Inquiry

Thank you to all grade levels for turning in your PD Plans and Cycles of Inquiry. Last week, I promised to give everyone feedback on both items. Unfortunately, reality set-in and I realized I made a false statement. I will give everyone feedback, hopefully before your next grade level collaboration meeting. Your revised PD plans and cycles of inquiry will be due September 27, 2013. Once again, thank you for all your efforts

In case of an emergency, be sure that your students know his or her home phone number and address, their parents work number, the number of another trusted adult and how to call 911 for emergencies.
Our Purpose for Teacher Life is
To shift our current practice from unknown work to adaptive work we will constantly engage in systematic collaboration. To ensure all students are being led to independence by implementing common practices and vertical alignment (TK-5).

Allergy Letters
Lindsay Ohlson (our school nurse), and I are in the process of drafting a letter to parents about allergies and being cautious when being treats to the classroom. This letter will be sent to parents sometime in October.

Bulletin Boards in Front Office

Second grade will display student work in the office starting September 30, 2013. They will display student work for two weeks then Grade 3 will be next starting October 14. Thank you. Montair School Website
