In this course, you will learn a lot of valuable and important information that will be useful for your future. I ask that you enter this class with a positive attitude and an open mind. I consider this course to be a hybrid course between an online class and a face to face person. There will be several assignments that are to be completed online both inside and occasionally outside of the classroom. This class is very project based and is passable for every student no matter what your strengths as long as you put forth 100% effort. The course will consist of a variety of power point presentations, online exploration, classroom activities, worksheets, projects, tests and quizzes, etc. You will have a final project that will consist of creating a resume, reference sheet, and completing a job application. You will also conduct a mock interview with members of the community. Expectations Be honestnobody likes a liar (especially me) Respect yourself, me, your classmates, and the technology Technology o You will be assigned a computer during the first week of class and that is the ONLY computer you will use during the semester. o You will log in to the computer using designated login information and are to use only this information. Please treat these as you would your own. They are expensive to replace and you will be held responsible if your negligence damages a computer. o Unless given permission, you are to access ONLY the sites instructed on that class day. No youtube, game sites, etc. Any hacking onto sites is a serious offense and you will be written up for it. Be on time (means in the classroom before the bell rings) o 3 free tardies, then a detention will be assigned for every tardy after three Stay awake! Use the restroom, get a drink, visit your counselor, etc. before class begins whenever possibleif you have to go during class, dont ask me while Im talking. Absent Work: It is your responsibility to check the online ANGEL folder for work you missed. You are also responsible or printing off any uploaded worksheets. If you prefer, you can email me the completed document. Find the date for the day you missedopen any files or documents, complete and turn inyou will have extra days to complete an assignment for however many days you were absent (Ex: absent 2 days, 2 extra days to complete) Cell Phones: NOT permitted unless given special permission Late Work: I do accept late work at a penalty of 10% off per day up to 5 days. Once five days has passed, you have five additional days to turn in the assignment with a maximum possible grade of 50%.

Extra Credit: You may bring in a printout of this class grade sheet from Progress Book signed by your parent/guardian and you for five extra credit points. You may do this once a week.
