Bank looted. Cash worth Rs. 15.2 crores and jewelry worth Rs. 6.5 crores have been burgled. The North District Office of the Delhi Police, in a statement released in the media, has claimed the involvement of some of the senior employees of the branch, including the Branch Manager.

This event has led the bank into a situation of immense crisis. Within the next 24 hours many of its customers started closing their accounts all over India, suspecting a similar mishap in their respective branches. The bank management is clueless as to how to handle the situation and has called for a high-level emergency meeting of the board. If you were the Director-Corporate Communications of Laxmi Vilas Bank, what would have been your suggestions or strategies to the board at this meeting, to overcome this immediate situation and help the bank in projecting a positive image to its target audience?
