2013 Dear students

HOW TO SCORE FROM DESCRIPTIVE

We have found that many of you are not attempting the descriptive questions given in the Term End Examination. This has reduced your chance to score a higher percentage of marks overall. We would like you to recall that all through your school life and your college, you have been writing descriptive answers and have successfully come up to the level you are. It is this which has given you the ability to develop your career and as an engaging social member too. This has also strengthened your skills to express yourself at all fronts. As a concerned University, we have attempted to reinforce your ability learnt earlier, namely of answering descriptive questions and thereby the powers of expression. In fact you have answered descriptive through the Internal Assignments and also thought through the Terminal Questions in the SLMs. Thus you have always been familiar with this method. We are sure you will recall your efforts on descriptive answers and appear boldly in your Term End Examination. The descriptive in fact enables you to score close to 20% with skills learnt since childhood and your experiences. In the meanwhile we at the University are doing everything possible to help you prepare for the descriptive. One attempt is to upload separately model descriptive questions for as many subjects as possible gradually. From Team Academics SMU DE
