NSTP Reflection

Poll Anthony R. Santillan

My small NSTP actions can make a big difference. NSTP (R.A. 9163) sounds mind-numbing but one of the best things about it is conducting a community service. It felt good fulfilling my NSTP 2 despite the fact that it took us a lot of exertion and forbearance to keep the show running for our assigned chores for this subject. We sacrificed our weekends, allowance, and so much more to prepare and tackle down every immersion. But I can say with pride that it is worth it. Seeing those cunning kids at White Cross Childrens Home, San Juan would convert the weariness into realizations. Honestly, Im not used to doing house chores. I can still recall our first immersion when we did the laundering; it was indeed my first time doing this kind of task but to tell you guys, it was in truth gratifying. Ive learned so many things that I can apply in my life now. My overall feeling about the immersions is an overwhelming satisfaction and fulfillment with the realization of our goals as a team that extended the much needed assistance to the orphans asylum. It was ENRICHING for the experience gave me more meaning in my relationship with God and the people in the said home. It was FULFILLING because we successfully achieved our goals and objectives. And, of course, it was FUN; my classmates and I did really enjoy the planned activities, each of these was indeed a bundle of laughs.
