How to Add/Remove a Draft Watermark On a Word document


To insert a Draft Watermark into Word 2007/2003 (Win) or Word 2008/2004 (Mac), you will need to:

Word 2007 (Win)


1. In Word 2007 (Win) from the Page Layout Tab, select Watermark. 2. Select DRAFT from the Watermark choices. The watermark will immediately be displayed in the document.

Select Custom Watermark to insert a custom text watermark where you can customize the language, font, size, text, color and layout.

3. To remove the watermark, from the Page Layout Tab, select Watermark, then the Remove Watermark option at the bottom of the screen, or select No Watermark from the Custom screen.

Word 2003 (Win)


1. In Word 2003 (Win) from the Format menu, select Background, and then select Printed watermark.

2. Click on the text watermark option. Type in the text you want as a watermark (I.E. Draft) and then click the OK button.

3. To remove the Draft Watermark; repeat Word 2003 (Win) step 1. Then click on the No watermark option and click the OK button.

Word 2008 and 2004 (Mac)


1. In Word 2008 and 2004 (Mac) go to the Insert menu and select the Watermark option.

2. This opens the Insert Watermark dialog box. Click on the Text option. Type in the text you want as a watermark (I.E. Draft) and then click the OK button.

3. To remove the Draft Watermark; repeat Word 2008 and 2004 (Mac) step 1. Then click on the No watermark option and click the OK button.
