    II. The Two Senses of Religious Experience A. Religious Experience as a Descriptive Term a description of an experience considered religious (for discussion purposes) perspective: disengaged/disinterested observer not after truth value or truth claim of the experience B. Religious Experience as an Engaged Term - the term is evaluative - perspective: the believers or participant/observer - the truth claim (reality of God) is asserted C.
