AFFIDAVIT OF COMPLIANCE I, __________________________of legal age, married with residences address at ________________________________, Cebu after being sworn to in accordance with law hereby state: In compliance to my assignment in the Legal Research class, I visited the Palace of Justice, and the MTCC Branch 7 Court Room, on June 12, 2012, 11:30 am. And below are my observations. The building is named The Justice Marcelo Fernan Memorial Hall of Justice. Two guards man the main entrance and exit of the building. They ask for the visitor's purpose and do a quick frisk. To the left of the entrance is a directory of the Trial Courts, their presiding judges and the location of the court rooms. The court room of MTCC Branch 7 is on the fourth floor of the right wing. And it is presided by Honorable Francisco Seville, Jr. The court was not in session when I visited. And it was empty. The chair of the presiding judge is on the front and center of the room. And it sits on an elevated platform, flanked by the Philippine Flag and presumably, the Flag of the Justice Department. To the left of the Judge is a small desk. In front and right of the Judge is the witness stand with also a small desk beside it. In front is a long table with chairs around it and several benches behind it. The room looks like it could accommodate at least 80 persons to witness justice being served.
