Few would argue that Career Planning has little impact on the efficiency and productivity of the government departments. A need was always felt for building an application that can provide answers to some of the major concerns of the Group A Officers such as How many promotions do I expect in my Career? When would I get promoted as a Commissioner or Chief Commissioner during my Career? How many vacancies would fall in a particular period? What would be the composition of the Board in 2018? Will I become a Member? Who would be our Chairman on December, 2010? An attempt has been made to provide answers to some of these questions through this application. Salient Features of the Application: My Promotions: This provides your tentative promotion dates when you would get promoted as Commissioner, Chief Commissioner and a Member, CBEC just by inputting your seniority Number as per the Civil List database. Composition on a date: This provides the Boards composition on a particular date provided by you through an input box. Chairmen List: This provides you the list of the Chairmen, CBEC until 2031 for every 3 months starting today.

Retirement till today: This provides the list of all officers in the database who have retired till today (i.e. the date of query). Between two dates: You can input two dates in the input box to get the retirements in All the Ranks or just for a particular rank. Before that you have to select the particular rank in the combo box. Search by Name and Search by Code Button You can search for your seniority as on 2003 by entering your Last Name or First Name or Officer Code. You can search by providing partial information in case the database spelling is at variance with your actual spelling.
