Production Department: By production we mean the manufacturing of different products or items in any organization.

The main purpose of production department is just to concentrate or focus on the production of the products after the purchasing of raw material. For this purpose the raw material is put into work in process so that the desired product can be manufactured in given time. Production Department is further divided into two departments that are given below: 1. Quality Control Department: Its the main unit in production department and the main function of this department is just to check the quality of the raw material that is being purchased till finished goods are produced. 2. Unit Production Department: The second department is production is unit production department and it focuses on the production of different items after going through work in process. Different Issues faced in Production Department: Following are some main issues or problems that can be faced by an organization in production department that are as follows: 1. Quality: It is one of the main issues that can be faced by any organization because the quality of any product must be good as compared with the quality of the same product that are being produced by other companies. For example if you are producing glass and the raw material you purchased for it is not up to the standard of Quality Control Department than obviously the result of that manufacturing would not get that much appreciation from the costumers and as a result it will not generate as much revenue that you were expecting. 2. Quantity: The second main issue that an organization can face is concerned with the quantity of the products that you have to produce. Suppose that you were given an order to produce 10 units of glasses but you only could produce 9 of them. So being a researcher you will search for the cause behind this. Suppose that you found out the main cause for it i.e the raw material you purchased was in less quantity to produce 10 units of glasses.
