Baltimore Police Believe Murder Suspect of One Year-Old Carter Scott Has Fled to New York (BALTIMORE/MD) June 11, 2013 - Baltimore Police believe that Rashid Mayo, a suspect in the murder of one year-old Carter Scott, may be hiding in New York in order to avoid apprehension. Detectives believe that Mayo fled Baltimore after being identified as a homicide suspect and could be hiding in New York City or the surrounding area. On May 24th, 2013, Mayo and several other individuals opened fire on a vehicle in the Cherry Hill section of south Baltimore. This brazen day-light attack killed one year-old Carter Scott and seriously wounded his father. Several other suspects have been identified and arrested, however Mayo still remains at large. The Baltimore Police Department Warrant Apprehension Unit is are asking for anyone who may have seen or have knowledge of the whereabouts of Mayo to call 911 or the United States Marshall at 1-800-336-0102.
