Whats New
April is here and Spring is in the air! Lots of exciting things are happening at Strattonville this month. In two weeks, grant auditors will visit us from the Department of Education or DOE, all the way from Washington, D.C. Our grant was made possible through the DOEs Magnet Schools Assistance Program. Thanks to our grant, we have been able to afford magnet-related improvements like professional development for our teachers and school equipment such as our TV studio. This visit is crucial to both our school and our district. We are very excited to have the DOE see all that we have accomplished in the past three semesters!

This months Leadership Habit is Synergize. This is the habit of creative cooperation. It is focused on teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions for old problems. Students are learning that creative cooperation and synthesis dont just happen on their own. Synergizing is a process. Through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table. Its the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
