Who knew that after taking this course I would say I LOVE SOCIAL STUDIES!

I remember thinking, Oh man, I am going to do TERRIBLE in this class! After writing unit plans and researching virtual field trips, I realized that Social Studies can be FUN. My previous notion of thinking social studies was boring came from having teachers that would quickly skim over the content, skip the Social Studies portion part of the day all together or were all together completely unenthused with the content. I dont have to be that teacher that makes my students think that Social Studies is boring and not worth their time. I can have fun teaching the concepts and show my students that Social Studies is interesting and can be used outside of the classroom.
