OBJECTIVE
Passionate and enthusiastic University of Lethbridge graduate (2013) seeking any job upon graduation. I am looking forward to be able to use my ability to adapt to the various learning styles and needs of the students of Alberta.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
TEACHING INTERNSHIP PROFESSIONAL SEMESTER III Coalhurst Elementary School, Palliser School Division January 7, 2013-April 25, 2013 Taught grade 2/3 science, social, art, health, printing, and gym. Main goals were to develop classroom management techniques, effective transitions, and hands on assessments correlated to the hands on activities. I used a variety of strategies and techniques for classroom management and effective transitions as well as created rubrics and checklists to meet the needs of the hands on activities. Worked on developing effective formative assessments with movie ticket exit slips as well as daily science journals to track the progress of individual student learning. Created an online social studies resource to accompany the grade 3 World Communities Unit. Created a hands on performance task using a tic tac toe board to give students a choice in demonstrating their learning. Also incorporated a pilot guest speaker and hands on activity to help students expand on concepts in the Flight unit in science.

RELATED COURSES/EXPERIENCE
Tutored students in Mathematics I have worked as a tutor to help high school students with mathematics. I work one on one with the students to help develop math skills to improve the students grasp on the math curriculum. Social for Non-Majors This class helped to develop my knowledge of the Social Studies Program of Studies. I also became familiar with different social studies teaching strategies and different types of assessments (formative and summative) to use within a social studies classroom. Science for Non-Majors In this class I was able to use my science knowledge to create hands on lessons, lesson plans, and a unit plan. I was able to learn hands on approaches to the science curriculum in order for students to be engaged. Communication Technologies in the Curriculum In this class I became familiar with the ICT Program of Studies and different strategies to incorporate the outcomes into lessons. This class was very beneficial as the learners of today are 21 st century learners and the use of technology in the classroom is an important aspect to engage the learners of today.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Basketball 2013 Volunteered at Coalhurst Elementary School helping out with Basketball for grades 5 and 6. Yoga lunch club 2013 I created a Yoga lunch club at Coalhurst Elementary School for students in grades 1-6. We have yoga every Monday and Wednesday and the focus is to help students develop skills to have them relax and focus. Year End Committee 2013 I am a part of the year end committee at Coalhurst Elementary School. This committee plans the year end track day and organizes the activities, food, and prizes. University of Lethbridge Job Fair 2013 Assisted the members of the school boards with the take down of their stations. Our Lady of the Assumption 2009 Volunteered in a kindergarten classroom working with small groups to complete a variety of activities. Assistant Coach 2007/2008 Assistant coach of the Senior Girls Volleyball team (grades 11 and 12) at Kate Andrews High School. Kate Andrews Basketball Camp Collaborated with my other basketball team members to create drills and activities for elementary aged students to help develop basic basketball skills.
