Tech 8. Project 3: EVALUATE

I. Product Testing
A. Survey 1. Study the results your survey. Generally, who answered your survey? (Students, teachers, etc.) How many took your survey? 2. How did they test your product against the Design Specification? Describe the way or method that you used to make your audience evaluate your product. 3. Did they think that your product minimally, mostly or completely satisfy your Design Specification? Explain. A. Survey Post the link to the Summary of Results of your survey:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1WlGoProVrXec01okWTMAo_wawu0PR_PPATxZfXRPG3Y/viewan alytics

Discuss your answers to the questions (on the left) in a clear and concise paragraph. (Minimum 80 words) In our survey, students answered our questions. The questions were almost same as our design specification, so if we know the result of the survey we can know the opinion of the audiences about our clock and how it against the design specifications. 4 guys answered to our survey. And most of them responded like this, Our clock did bad job at using recycled materials, including theme of Mozambique and old ad rustic, inquiring childrens attentions. But it has good points on dimensions, safeness, length, and its hygienic stuffs. And the average was 3.8 points out of 5 points, so that means we did moderate jobs on making clocks.

B. Self-testing Discuss your answers to the questions in a clear and concise paragraph. (Minimum 80 words) We didnt really used recycled materials, so I gave2, and I dont think The clock had the theme of 'old ad rustic' so I give 3. It has the dimension of 40x30 so I give5, it has little Mozambican inspired designs, so I gave it 3 and I dont think the product inquires the children so I give 2, and the product took about two weeks to make so I gave 5. It is mountable so I gave 5 and it has no sharp edges so I gave 5 and finally, the material used were safe and hygenic for all ages so I gave 5. So the clock mostly satisfied our design specification because the survey contains almost same factor as design specification and it got average of 3.8. And the audiences have almost same response. So the strong point is dimensions, safeness, length, its hygienic. The weak points are using recycled materials.

B. Self-testing 1. Use the same survey form to evaluate the product yourself. 2. Do you think that your product minimally, mostly or completely satisfy your Design Specification? Explain. 3. Compare your own evaluation with the evaluation of your audience. What are the strong and weak points of your product?

C. Final Product vs. Original Design 1. Did you follow your plan and chosen design? How does the final product compare with your original design?

C. Final Product vs. Original Design Discuss your answers to the questions in a clear and concise paragraph. (Minimum 80 words) Since our class had few materials to work with, we made a pair to make the clock, after that, we decide the design to use. And we chose to use curtis design. So that means I didnt followed my original plan. I made lots of changes, such as forms, dimensions, and designs. For example, my original plan was 20 x 20 dimension clock and it changed to 40 x 30 dimension clock. And I chose desk clock, but it changed to the wall clock and I try to put capulana all over, but we just made the ring of capulana. Our product didnt really addressed

D. Improving your product Discuss your answers to the questions in a clear and concise paragraph. (Minimum 80 words) If I could make the clock again, I would choose my designs to make the clock because I couldnt able to follow the original plan so I did bad job on making the clock, but if I use my own designs, I could have done better job because I am used to (?) it since I am the one who designed the clock. Or

D. Improving your product 1. What aspects in the design will you change to improve the product? 2. Describe the materials, tools, techniques and skills that

2. What changes did you make from your original design? What materials, tools, techniques and other resources did you use to make these changes? 3. Why did you have to make these changes in your final product? 4. Did your product effectively address or solve the problem it was intended for? Why or why not? 5. Do you think your product is successful? Why or why not?

or solved the problem, but it was moderately done clock.

if I have to keep the design, I would make our clock more colorful because we only used wooden plate and little bit of capulana so it does not catches the sight of the people. And in this case, I would use the carving skill more carefully because, although we have succeed to make our clock shape rounded, it was not completely carved.

you will use next time.

E. Impact of My Product 1. What uses or benefits can your product offer to life, individuals, communities, society and/or the environment? How will it generally improve life? 2. Is it marketable? Can it be sold? Is it profitable? Why or not? 3. What are the possible issues, limitations, constraints, issues or negative effects of using your product to individuals, society and life in general? (Examples: Is it safe to use? Is it environment-friendly? Is it energy efficient? Etc.) 4. How can these issues be resolved? A. My Scoring Guide Create a score guide that you will use to grade your performance in each of the process of the Design Cycle.
Score 0 1 2 3 4 5 Does not apply Minimally applies Somewhat applies Moderately applies Mostly applies Fully applies

E. Impact of My Product Discuss your answers to the questions in a clear and concise paragraph. (Minimum 80 words) This clock was originally for Children go to shool and et told things but often are still left hanging is the point of "Why" or How.This problem is quite important because without explanation the children and students aren't learning all they are doing is being spoken too because of that its necesary to get explanations into place for teachers in order to let children and students get the full effects of going to school. The clock can be marketable if we fix some features such as using recycled materials, including theme of Mozambique and old ad rustic, inquiring childrens attentions. The possible issue can be happened is getting hurt by the clock because the clock is heavy, so to solve this problem, I have to use the materials that has low weights.

III. Evaluation of My Performance in the Stages of the Design Cycle

Description

A. Investigate Stage

B. Design Stage

C. Plan Stage

D. Create Stage

E. Evaluate Stage

Score: 4 Score: 4 Score: 4 Score: 5 Discuss the reasons for the score that you gave for yourself for each stage below. What are the strong and weak points of your performance? How can you improve your performance? (Minimum of 80 words for each stage.) I gave 4 points on investigate stage On design stage I gave it 4 points out of On planning stage I gave 4 points for On creating stage, I gave us, Curtis and I because I have done successful job on total of 5 points. I made 3 different myself. I have done almost perfect job 5 points which is full points. We have explaining my topic, problems and how possible designs so I can choose the best on describing steps to follow and done great job on following the plan, does it relate to the AOI. And I used design and how should I make the clock. materials and tools to use, creating a completing the process journal, many sources to make the stag. I gave 4 And I did successful job on evaluation the timeline for my work task, evaluating my competently using the most appropriate points which is 1 point discounted form designs and explaining my best choice, plan for possible problems, describing techniques. And submitting the project full points because I did made successful but I gave 1 point discount because of possible changes to my design due to the on time. But there is 1 unfortunate point, job, but I did not add hard efforts on this reason. The cause of I gave 1 point plan. But I gave 1 point discount. The the fact is we did perfect job on the researching and finding how does the discount is I used Curtis design and that reason is because I used my design for rubric that you gave us , but we didnt problem relates to the AOI. If I add more means I have failed to make the better planning not curtis design that we are carved and made the clock perfectly, but efforts on the researching and how the design than Curtis. going to make. That is the reason I gave we still did great job on the creating problem does relates to the AOI I would 1 point discount although I did almost stage, it worth it. have given 5 points which is full points. perfect job.

Score: 3

On evaluating stage I gave 4 points because I have done good job on testing my design specification, having the appropriate audience for my survey, but I did bad job on creating survey question because to create our survey, I needed to have curtis design specification and because of that reason, only Curtis have created the survey. And I didnt had enough people to answer our questions. We had only 4 people answered our question, if we had more participant, we could have be more accurate on information and that could lead us to make better evaluations.
