The material used for this unit came from the 2nd Grade Houghton Mifflin Social Studies textbook Neighborhoods 2. What were the easiest and most challenging parts of writing this unit plan? The easiest part from writing this unit plan was following the textbook; it is very easy to follow and has so many details for a teacher to use. I was not familiar with this textbook before, and so far I love it. The most challenging part of this unit plan was deciding on the assessment. As, this is crucial for teachers because it measures students understanding on the lesson taught. The textbook had some great ideas that I put to use.
