Secondary Resources Books Alexander, Bevin. Inside the Nazi War Machine: How Three Generals Unleashed Hitlers Blitzkrieg Upon the World. New York: Penguin, 2010. Print. Alexander Bevin explores the plans of the three generals who developed Blitzkrieg, Rommel, Manstein, and Guderian. He shows how they created a juggernaut force of tanks, in plans that still shape warfare today. This resource helped get me interested in the Battle of France, and choose it as my topic. Gilbert, Adrian. Germanys Lightning War. Osceola: MBI, 2000. Print. Adrian Gilbert takes you through the war, start to finish. Contrary to most books, he focuses only on the Germans campaigns and fortification, which is useful information to me. Maiolo, Joseph A. Cry Havoc: How the Arms Race Drove the World to War, 1931-1941. New York: Basic, 2010. Print. This book was useful for researching when the Germans broke the Treaty of Versailles and explaining the lack of response from the rest of the world. This is a period of time that is skipped over by many sources. Pimlott, John. The Historical Atlas of World War II, New York: Henry Holt, 1995. Print. This book contains a description of each battle of the war and a map to go along with it. It is incredibly useful because it shows what other books can only describe. It does not have very in depth information though.

Showalter, Dennis. Hitlers Panzers: the Lightning Attacks That Revolutionized Warfare. New York: Penguin, 2009. Print. Sept. 2012. <http://www.achtungpanzer.com/blitzkrieg.htm>.

This resource is very useful and contains the concepts of Blitzkrieg. It talks about how the Spanish Civil War was used as a testing ground for Blitzkrieg tactics of coordinated land and air strikes. It also shows how different countries adapted the strategy for their own uses.

Showalter, Dennis. Blitzkrieg, History.com. 1996. Web. Oct. 2012. <http://www.history.com/topics/blitzkrieg>. This article talks mainly about the source of Blitzkrieg, not its implementation. It was very difficult to find print sources on this subject.
