We determined Tyler was able to follow teacher instruction less than 40% of the time throughout the entirety of the morning. We discussed the areas that he seemed to be able to follow instruction the most and times that he may need extra support in following teacher instruction. However, we feel that the times in which he is able to follow instruction more easily and the times when he may need additional

support may very day to day, so we will address this conversation again at the end of the week. We also discussed Tylers ability to become engaged and maintain engagement in certain areas of the room. We determined one of Tylers strengths is determining which area to play in. He spent a minimal amount of time wandering around the room in between activities. Jill felt as though the forms were useful and easy to read. Jill met with Rachel this morning for a mid-year conference at the center, during which they discussed Tylers progress so far this year, as well as his strengths and concerns at this point in the year. This was an initial meeting between Jill and Rachel; a home visit to Rachel from Jill and myself will take place by April 26 as stated on the goal sheet. Jill discussed this meeting with me during our consultation this afternoon. Jill and Rachel have similar strengths and concerns for Tyler. Some of Tylers strengths are his ability to sustain his attention for a long period of time on a preferred activity, his cooperative play skills are emerging, and beginning to be able to suggest solutions to problem with adult support. A few areas on concern are Tylers continued separation anxiety on most mornings, his refusal of teacher instructions, and the frequency at which he becomes angry.
