Reading Plan Term 1, Week 9-11

Social Purpose: To teach students to become effective and engaged readers. Students will extend their vocabulary, manipulate phonemes, recognise text features and learn strategies to retrieve information. Students will learn to recall events and develop confidence to read aloud. Language Focus: comprehension, phonemes, phonics, reading, texts, writing, features and vocabulary. Text: Guided reading books (appropriate for each level), Big books Families and Farmer (week 9) and Joes Hot Day (week 10).
