You all KNOW hes right up my hero alley. *swooooooon* I cant wait to start but first. I gotta tease! Karina told me it was a very sexy excerpta scene of him dressing her. Oh boy. With those looks, and this scene, and well you know how Karina writes her heroes I think he just may give Dex a run for his money. Wait! WAIT! I take it back. I still *heart* you Dex!!! Im sure after Im done this book Ill still like you best! *side-eyes my fellow readers* shhhhhhhhh *giggle* Ready for that teaser? I AM!!! Do you mind turning around? I asked, making the motion with my hands. He ruffled his hair with amusement. I dont think I will. I bought you the clothes, I get to see the show. He stood there in front of me, surrounded by boxes and bags, the two beds on either side of us. Though the smile on his lips was playful, the look in his eyes was not. It wasnt a mean look but it wasnt soft, either. Each of his features stood out in their beautifully masculine way, all hard edges and second chances. This wasnt the time to be bashful and he knew it. Seeing as I was already in my underwear, a black pair that had cheeky coverage, I lifted my tank top above my head and let it drop to the carpeted floor. His gaze intensified, like a heat-seeking missile. I brought my hands behind my back and, as elegantly as possible, undid the clasp and slipped my bra out of my arms, tossing it to the bed. Though his gaze, his pose, his very being, reminded me of a wolf about to pounce, he didnt move. I felt his eyes roam up and down my body like silk, sending shivers down my back. He was turning me on without laying a hand on me. It wasnt necessary for the dress, but I shimmied out of my underwear and stepped out of it. Now I was absolutely, completely nude, save for my bandaged leg. To anyone else I would have looked a bit silly. But not to Camden. I could see in the way he regarded me that I was nothing short of the phoenix coming out of the ashes, just like the one inked on his side. I had become his tattoo. I slowly walked over to him, owning my body as I never had before, shoulders back and head high. I gestured to the dress. Will you help me? He licked his lips; it was probably involuntary but it caused heat to flare between my legs, my own lips to part open. He reached over and picked the black dress up in his hands and leisurely unzipped the side of it, his eyes never leaving mine. I raised my arms above my head, my bare breasts raising as I did so, surrendering to him. Our gaze never broke, the heat only built, connecting us. He took the dress and carefully slipped it over my arms and pulled it down. His knuckles brushed against my nipples and I clenched my jaw, suppressing the shudder that wanted to roll through me. He dragged it down over my breasts and over my stomach, slowly, so slowly, like the fabric was an extension of his hands and lips. Every hair on my body was raised, my skin tense and wanting. He came closer to nudge it over my hips, letting his fingers rest on them as gravity took the remainder of the dress to the ground.

Now fully clothed, I lowered my arms. He was so close to me, too close. His hands burned on my hips. Thank you, I whispered, breaking his heated gaze and looking at the ground.

However, the back story on Eden and the character development were so thoroughly detailed, that this story was complete enough to be a stand alone. I really enjoyed this book and read it all in one day. This series didn't take long to worm its way into being one of my favorite series. This installment started off a bit slow. In the beginning Eden and Lucius seemed to be doing more romancing than investi Eden Black walks among humans, protecting them from the murderous evil of other-worlders who abduct and enslave. And though she appears to be human herself, Eden is an alien, a Raka, distinguished by her golden hair and skin, and gifted with the ominous ability to kill without remorse -- and with total accuracy. I liked this one better than the first. Something hit home for me on this one. Lucius was HOT!! That man was a jerk but he was so possessive of Eden , how can you not love that?. Their banter back and forth was truly funny. New characters were introduced and I have to say that I wanted to hate Delvyn in the beginning but at the end I loved him . Hope that there is more of him later in the series . Another great book. Okay.. This book is awesome! I was laughing the entire time while reading this one. But the story has a dept to it as well. The plot, the characters, everything was well written and well put together. I was actually in suspense the last 5 chapters of this one. The Targon King, Devyn, okay Cynthia and Leah, YES HE'S FINE!!! But he was such a Bastard! But the King, U can't help but love. He grows on U immediately. JERK MONKEY! But Lucious and Eden are my Couple. Lucious is my dude.. U really believed that they loved each other and there was nothing they would not do to ensure the other's safety and well being. Her relationship with her adoptive Father was very well written and emotionally deep. I don't know how I would have dealt with what she and he had to deal with towards the end of this book. This among other things kinda made me tear up. Read this book. It's really well worth the time.(less)

I giggled so many times while reading that my husband started giving me odd looks. The funniest parts usually revolved around Ava and Noelle and involved them sniping at each other. They were the type of best friends that seemed like blood enemies to the casual observer. Poor McKell made the mistake of trying to insert himself into that situation, not realizing that just because they can criticize each other doesnt mean that theyll let anyone else do it too. I wasnt sure what to expect going into this book. Ava was a complete unknown and the thought of McKell still being hung up on Bride made me nervous. I was pleased to see that Ava and McKell fit together nicely. He has some issues to work throughlike being convinced of his superiority to humansbut hes a nice match for Ava. How can he not be perfect for her when hes cocky enough to wear a trophy necklace of all the fingers hes taken? We get to see a continuation of the Schon storyline and further details on the queen. Im really curious to see if the author is actually going to pair Dallas with her because the thought of that kind of grosses me out. Many prior characters pop up here, but because this one revolved more around AIR their presence makes sense and feels natural to the storyline. We also got a nice look at the newest AIR recruits and some exciting hints about Noelle and Hectors future together. Im really anxious for their book and the

opportunity to learn more about Hector. Im nervous about what Dallass vision will mean for their relationship development, though, and wish I had the book to find out now. I found Avas irritation about being short hilarious. As a fellow short person, I can certainly empathize with her irritation. Her temper and her desire to avoid feelings and mushy scenes made her fun to read about. She fit well with McKell who was impossibly arrogant and possessive. He thought he was the baddest guy on the block and was decidedly not thrilled to be taken down by two agents-in-training. I loved watching the big, bad McKell slowly fall in love. The action is fast and the characters are over the top, but that is where this author shines. Ava and McKell have loads of sexual tension and easily bounce between sweet and sparring. It seems like their relationship works well with both attitudes. Plus all that sniping just cranks up the heat. ;) I really enjoyed this read and think that if youre a fan of the humor in Kresley Coles Immortals After Dark series, especially the valkyries, then youll enjoy this one too.

Hector was SO yummilicious!!! Bad boy to the core! I really really liked the sexual tension and build up to Hector and Noelle's eventual hook up..made it all the better when they finally got there!...and i have to say..in the last book Ava and Noelle kind of annoyed me...their bantering was a little bit over the top but in this book they were HILARIOUS!! I loved when they were at camp in the beginning...they were so funny...more
