Case Study 2a The use of Internal and Word-of-Mouth Recruitment Methods

Phil and mark have good reason to choose the research topic initially. Good reason is that they were familiar with research topic in past experience. According to this, they can create a good knowledge due to past experience and they can criticise on each other work. In case study they did not discuss the local authoritys recruitment way and in other side they were in hurried to produce the work because they were over-confidence due to lot of knowledge. They arrange the knowledge according to out-dated style 1990s. Actually, lots of things have changed in work place atmosphere. If they focus on nature of general authorities and what they doing on it then may be can improve the research results. They should need to find out the internally recruiting methods of local and other organizations and how these organizations can promote it internally and externally. In other side they did not check the effectiveness of internal and word of mouth recruitment methods in local authority. (deVaus 2002). Actually they did not have necessary research skills if they used the survey methodology rather than the past experience knowledge than may be they can successful fully they was not able to access the data on right time. Their research were not linking with theories and research was not clearly objected so this research was invalid. Clough and Nutbrown (2002).
They can conduct the preliminary study to refine research idea and try to continually check the idea and refine the topic with own organization. In my point of view, if they used the Use the Goldilocks Test (not too big, not too small, not too hot, not just right) then it can affect the results. Clough and Nutbrown (2002). In other side, if they found out the one more thing that they compare the effectiveness of traditional method of recruitment with internet recruitment method. They should need add the general question in research objectives. According to my analyze, they can follow these steps in research describe the phenomena and analyse the relationship and do some predictions about the outcome and in last start comparing and generalising. (Saunders, Lewis & Thornhill, 2009,

p.371). so whenever we need to chose the topic first things is to clarify the idea and topic and it should complete the requirements of body and choose the different techniques when make a idea focus on related literature. So i learn some lessons from the word and mouth case to chose and find out the related literature. Do not chose the topic without enough research on topic and always show the flexibility regarding to reading on secondary and primary bases. Always, we should need to choose the right question and follow it systemically in arranging the information. right question will help us to choose the right answer. In important thing is, to compare the research with the secondary data to check the validity and reliability of your research and analyze it effectively and critically. In last, always organize the data or information according to reader requirement because after this act not any type of objection will arise on it.
