Using single Crochet Cast on, cast on 52 sts. join to end with slip stitch to create a round (PM). R1: chain 5 sts, *DC into 3 st from beginning, ch 3; repeat from * to end, join to space of the 5 ch at begining of round with slip stitch Repeat R1 until piece measures 7 in high or fit head. Weave in ends Thread ribbon through spaces at top of cowl and pull to gather and tie in a bow for hat. You can leave the ribbon weaved in loose to add a bow to your cowl.
