Clausen, who works at NASA. He gave me background information about Charles Yost inventing memory foam at Ames Research Center and how Otto bock developed the foam to be used in prosthetic limbs. He and his workers answered my questions about regular and invisible braces. This helped me gain general knowledge on the subject so I could write about it. Makinen, Brittany. Email interview. 1 Jan. 2013. I contacted Brittany Makinen over an email about the MiniMed insulin pump. She started to use the pump when she was in high school so it was helpful when she compared the conventional method for injecting insulin and how she uses the pump now. McGuiness, Christina . Phone interview. 29 Jan. 2013. I contacted Christina McGuiness over the phone. She works at Nyack hospital and taught a class on how to use the MiniMed pump. She helped e understand that even as convenient as the pump is, most people inject themselves because it is less costly and is more likely covered by their insurance. NACA.
